What are sister bra sizes? If you are finding that your usual size isn't fitting then this may be down to the brand, the style of bra or manufacturer.

Sister sizes are groups of bra-size equivalents that are related by cup volume. For example, a 36E cup belongs to the same family as a 38DD, a 40D, and a 42C.

With the size of bras sometimes differing because of the manufacturer, brand, style and even country, it is good to know about sister bra sizes so you can try other bra sizes if the one you have doesn't match your usual size.

Locate your current bra size and then see what your sister bra size is down or up to see if either of these sizes are a better fit.

This sister size chart uses UK sizing.

You can work out your sister bra size by going down a band size and up a cup size and vice versa.

It may sound a little tricky but here is a trick we like to use:

If you’re going up a cup size, you need to go down back size = the same cup volume (e.g 34E you would try 32F)

If you’re going down a cup size, you need to go up a back size = the same cup volume (e.g 36G you would try 38FF)

So if you are wearing a 36DD and the back feels a little loose try a 34E and see how this fits! and vice versa, if the back is feeling a little snug try a 38D.
